So here I am in Salford
A land that time forgot
Santa dare not come here
For fear he might be shot
It could have been so different
Had fate been just and so
But as ever it was cruel
I’m in a place I shouldn’t know
My life is here in Salford
Where the chavs roam free and wild
Not all of them are bad
Most are burdened with a child
In a flat towards the heavens
Looked down on by the dead
This topsy turvey world
The clever, they have fled
My stay is long and painful
But success shall soon be mine
And should I be a wonder
Salford will become my shrine
